How did Jason Craft earn 15 PartyLite supplier awards in 15 years?

By treating the catalog date as fixed. PartyLite sells candles and home décor through a direct-selling network, so products must be in hand when a catalog season opens. Jason Craft developed and supplied candle accessories, home décor and later electric aroma diffusers, and between 2001 and 2015 PartyLite recognized the company fifteen times, including Supplier of the Year in 2001, 2009 and 2012.

The program

A catalog season does not wait

In direct selling, a product that misses the catalog launch is not a late shipment. Consultants cannot sell it, so the sale is lost for the whole season. That shapes everything upstream: sampling has to finish early, production has to be booked before the order is final, and quality problems have to be caught on the line, while there is still time to fix them.

We supplied candle accessories and home décor across multiple materials, and later added electric aroma diffusers. Diffusers now run at around 60,000 units a year, built with the same diffuser factory partner for more than ten years. Keeping one partner that long is part of the result: the factory knows the spec, the packaging and the standard before each season starts.

What made it work

Delivery first. Six of the fifteen awards were for on-time delivery, spread across twelve years. That is not one good season; it is a planning habit: book capacity before the order is final, and say early when a date is at risk.

Quality on the line, not at the end. Our own QC checks incoming materials, samples during production and inspects every order before shipment. Problems found mid-run can still be fixed; problems found at the dock become chargebacks or missed seasons.

New products every season. Direct selling needs newness. The 2008 and 2012 awards recognized new product support in accessories and home décor, which means samples ready on the development calendar, not after it.

Long partnerships on both sides. The customer relationship ran fifteen years, and the diffuser factory partnership has run more than ten. Factories that are treated as partners stay with a program, and that continuity shows up as consistent product.

Frequently asked questions

Which PartyLite awards has Jason Craft received?

Fifteen between 2001 and 2015: Supplier of the Year in 2001, 2009 and 2012; Factory of the Year in 2004; on-time delivery six times (2003, 2004, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2015); outstanding quality in 2009 and 2015; a service excellence award in 2003; new product support in 2008; and innovation and new product support in home décor in 2012.

Why do delivery dates matter so much in direct selling?

A home-party company sells from a catalog season. If a product is late, consultants cannot take orders for it, and the sale is lost for the whole season rather than delayed. That is why six of the fifteen awards were for on-time delivery.

Does Jason Craft still supply electric aroma diffusers?

Yes. Electric diffusers are now around 60,000 units a year in this relationship, built with the same diffuser factory partner for more than ten years.
