Who makes custom glass and ceramic candle vessels for private label?

Jason Craft develops and manufactures custom candle vessels in glass and ceramic for candle brands, retailers and importers in North America. Glass vessels are machine-formed or hand-blown in Vietnam, ceramic vessels are made in Vietnam and China, and we can deliver the vessel alone or as a finished, filled candle with the lid and packaging.

Glass candle jars, tumblers and votives

Automatic, semi-automatic, hand-blown, centrifugal and press lines cover everything from a straight-sided tumbler at high volume to a hand-blown art-glass vessel in small runs. Machine forming keeps wall thickness and dimensions consistent, which a filling line and a lid both depend on.

Ceramic · Vietnam and China

Ceramic candle vessels with signature glazes

Stoneware and porcelain vessels, cast or jiggered, with the glaze often doing the selling. Ceramic is where we see the most demand for a second origin: Vietnam now handles tableware-grade ceramic vessels, and China keeps the deepest range of shapes and finishes.

Vessel only, or the finished candle

With candle filling partners in Vietnam and China, the vessel, wax, wick, fragrance, lid and gift box are developed together and tested together, so the candle that reaches the shelf is one engineered product rather than parts from different suppliers. We also make candle holders and lanterns in metal, glass and wire.

Frequently asked questions

What is the MOQ for custom glass candle vessels?

It depends on the process: from 2,000 pieces for hand-blown glass, around 30,000 for semi-automated lines and around 50,000 for fully automated machine lines in Vietnam.

What is the MOQ for ceramic candle vessels?

Typically 2,000 to 5,000 pieces per design in Vietnam, depending on the shape and the glaze or decoration.

How long do candle vessel samples take?

Ceramic samples take around 21 days. Hand-tooled glass samples take around 35 to 45 days; we make glass samples and tooling in China to keep sampling fast, then move the tooling to Vietnam for production.

Are glass candle vessels tested for safety?

Yes. Glass candle containers are tested to ASTM F2179, the U.S. standard for glass containers used as candle holders, and painted or decorated surfaces are tested for lead content. Reports are shared under NDA and new testing is arranged for your item.

Can you supply the finished candle, not just the vessel?

Yes. We work with candle filling partners in Vietnam and China, so the vessel, fragrance, wick, lid and packaging can be developed and delivered as one finished product.

Developing a candle line?

Send the vessel size, the look you want and the target retail price. We will suggest the material, the origin and the process that fit.
