Can ceramic dinnerware be made in Vietnam to U.S. retail standards?

Yes. Jason Craft makes stoneware and porcelain dinnerware, mugs, bowls and serveware in Vietnam at retail standard, with China as the second origin for shapes and finishes Vietnam does not yet cover. Every program is tested for lead and cadmium to U.S. FDA and California requirements, and every shipment from Vietnam travels with a Certificate of Origin.

Dinnerware sets, mugs, bowls and serveware

Dinner and salad plates, bowls, mugs, pitchers, teaware, bakers and serving pieces, in stoneware and porcelain. Jigger forming gives consistent flatware for stacking and retail display; slip casting handles pitchers, teapots and sculpted shapes.

We started our Vietnam ceramic line in 2024, before tariffs made it urgent, and pushed it from garden pottery toward tableware-grade execution.

From forming line to kiln

Bodies are formed on automated jigger lines, dried on racks, glazed by dipping or spraying and fired in kilns. Our QC staff check incoming materials, sample the line during production and run a final inspection before shipment, including glaze color against the approved range, warpage and chipping.

Frequently asked questions

Can Vietnam make stoneware dinnerware, not just garden pots?

Yes. Fine stoneware dinnerware is in real production in Vietnam, with body quality, glaze consistency and flatware tolerances at retail standard. We started our Vietnam ceramic line in 2024.

What is the MOQ for ceramic dinnerware made in Vietnam?

Typically 2,000 to 5,000 pieces per design, depending on the shape and the decoration.

How long does ceramic dinnerware take from sample to shipment?

Samples take around 21 days. A first order takes around 90 days and repeat orders around 75 to 90 days.

Is ceramic dinnerware tested for lead and cadmium?

Yes. Ceramic tableware is tested by independent laboratories against U.S. FDA leaching limits (CPG 7117.06 and 7117.07), California Proposition 65 levels and the California Tableware Safety Law.

Do reactive glazes look the same on every piece?

No, and that is part of their appeal. Reactive glazes vary from piece to piece, so we agree an approved range with reference samples before production and inspect against that range.
